German textile and machine manufacturers at Techtextil North America and Texprocess Americas
More than 60 companies from the German textile and textile machinery industry will present their innovations at the „High-Tex from Germany” special exhibition in Atlanta, from 22 to 24 May 2018. The exhibition will be part of Techtextil North America and Texprocess Americas, held every two years at Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
Techtextil is the North America’s only dedicated show for technical textiles and nonwovens assembling all vertical aspects of the technical textile industry: from research and development, through raw materials and production processes and finally ending in conversion, further treatment and recycling. Techtextil North America will once again be co-located with Texprocess Americas making this the largest and best technical textile, nonwoven, machinery, sewn products and equipment trade show in the Americas!
„High-Tex from Germany“ is supported by the German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) in collaboration with the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA). Initiators of the special exhibition are: the Confederation of the German Textile and Fashion Industry (textile+mode), the Textile Care, Fabric and Leather Technologies and the textile machinery sections of the Mechanical Engineering Industry Association VDMA. The German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy has appointed Messe Frankfurt to operate the exhibition. With a unique portfolio of 50 international fairs for the textile sector, Messe Frankfurt is the world’s market leader when it comes to trade fairs for the textile sector.
The German textile and fashion industry (including shoe and leather goods industry) with more than 1,400 companies and more than 132,000 employees is the second largest consumer goods industry in Germany. German textile and fashion companies account for an annual turnover of about 32 billion euros (60 % textile, 40 % apparel) and are leading in Europe. Textile manufacturers are important suppliers for industry sectors such as automotive, aerospace, medicine and geotechnology. (Source: textil+mode)
