About us

Application Lab Weber & Leucht is an accredited testing laboratory that also conducts contract research and cooperative projects. The highly specialized team has been analyzing textiles and cleaning agents and developing innovative materials for more than 15 years now. Leading textile and chemical companies from around the world count among the clients of the company that has its headquarters in Germany and a service center in the USA.

Weber & Leucht is one of the few laboratories in Europe to also specialize in the US standards. It is therefore able to implement US testing methods in line with the standards of the influential ASTM International and American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC).

Stephanie and Thomas Leucht, the founders of Weber & Leucht, are highly committed to international standards and are represented in important committees, associations, and organizations. These include ASTM International, AATCC, IFAI as well as German DIN.

Industrial forensics: High-precision analytics for textile products

Industrial forensics: High-precision analytics for textile products

Natural fibers afford unique properties that synthetic fibers are still unable to imitate perfectly. Highly sensitive analytical technology is often needed to understand why nature can achieve these properties. Only a few specialized laboratories worldwide are able to conduct and interpret these analytical procedures, most of which have their origins in forensic analyses. It is for this reason that using such methods to answer technical questions is also referred to as “industrial forensics”.
